How does Radio Frequency (RF) treatment work?
Like any form of energy, RF has the capacity to heat the skin’s deeper layers to melt fat, induce new collagen and elastin production and encourage cell turnover, helping skin become firmer, thicker and more youthful-looking.
An advantage of using RF to heat tissues, is that the lower frequency of RF can safely penetrate to a deeper level, accessing an eliminating subcutaneous and visceral fat deposits, as well as helping to improve skin tone and structure; and can safely treat more patients with different skin tones without risking permanent discoloration.
RF Cavitation and fat reduction
RET RF generates higher heating energy (40℃ ~ 50℃) at a greater depth in the human body (about 10 cm). This deeper heating energy makes it possible to treat & melt the Subcutaneous fat, Cellulite and Visceral fat. This same increased internal temperature encourages arterial and capillary vessels to expand, increased blood flow, improved blood circulation, enhanced metabolism and improved lymphatic circulation to remove fat & other waste products.
Visceral fat and why it is important to treat and eliminate this
Visceral fat is the accumulated fat between membranes that divide empty spaces between organs and between organs and other bodily structures. This fat can produce toxins which affect a specific organ or pass though the mucous membrane into vessels and spread via blood flow throughout the whole body. These toxins should be eliminated by the gut, liver, lung, skin lymph or kidneys. However, if these excretory systems are compromised, toxins build and are accumulated in our bodies. There is a growing recognition that these toxins generate inflammatory processes in the body which in turn create systemic imbalance and impaired autonomic regulation of our body; and may cause or maintain conditions such as insulin resistance, hypertension, diabetes, atherosclerosis, hyperlipemia, fatty liver, cancer, and pulmonary heart disease.
ICE Balance RF Cavitation
Dual action; can melt Subcutaneous and Visceral fat at same time. No pain, no surgical risk, integrated cooling to protect the dermis, no damage to neuronal, muscle, bone and skin tissues.
VFH System (Visceral Fat Heating System) generates strong internal heating energy to dissolve Visceral fats. Application: Belly Treatment (5-10 cm reduced circumference & 2-5kg loss of fat)
SFH System (Subcutaneous Fat Heating System) generates strong RF energy on Subcutaneous fat layers. Application: Arm and Leg treatments (Skin tightening, increased skins elasticity, & Anti-aging)
Am I a suitable candidate for RF Cavitation?
* People who want to use a safe and effective procedure without anesthesia and pain
* People who want to achieve body shaping due to removal of fat from their stomach
* People who have too much visceral fat and worry about chronic diseases
* People who want short procedure due to busy social life style
* People who have experienced yo-yo effect using previous procedures
* The old and the infirm
* Synergetic use with other procedures
How many treatments are needed. How long are treatments?
We recommend customers use between 2-5 treatments depending on areas being treated, goals of treatment (fat reduction verses skin tightening), customer’s age, BMI, and parallel use of other procedures.
Treatments range between 15 and 30 minutes.
What should I do before a RF Treatment.
Avoid botox/filler, IPL Laser, facial peels & microdermabrasion 2 weeks ahead of your Radio Frequency Skin Tightening treatment.
Please avoid any active skin care eg Vitamin A, Vitamin C, AHA’s and BHA, any exfoliating products 3 days pre and post treatment.
What should I do after a Skin Tightening RF treatment
It is normal for the area to feel warm immediately after the procedure; and may appear flushed, reddened and feel tingly.
Avoid sun beds and no sunbathing immediately post treatment. Drink plenty of water.
Don’t exfoliate the skin for 2-3 days after treatment.
Do not wax a treated area for 3-5 days.
Do not laser a treated area for 7 days.
What are the side effects of radiofrequency treatments?
Along with effectively lifting and tightening tissues without surgery or downtime, one of the greatest benefits of RF treatments, when performed correctly, is that post-procedure recovery is very quick and easy. Side effects are typically minimal and short-lived, limited to mild and temporary swelling, redness, and tingling, depending on the treatment.
Is radiofrequency treatment safe?
We’re all exposed to low levels of human-made RF every day, from cell phones, TV, WiFi, etc. Because it’s used for so many things, radiofrequency has been extensively studied for its impact on human health.
The main known risk associated with RF is the potential for burns from the thermal heating effect for people exposed to high doses.
Radiofrequency used in non-surgical tissue tightening devices is closely monitored and highly controlled during treatment for your safety to ensure that targeted tissues reach the optimal temperature to induce new collagen production and cell regeneration without overheating.
Clinical studies have demonstrated an excellent safety profile on RF procedures for skin tightening, facial skin tightening, and body contouring.
